Jacueline Houck, a TEACHER OF THE YEAR and an American Inventor, has been offering consulting services online for more than 10 years. She has now expanded her consultations to mentor new elementary level teachers (N-6) or teachers just seeking to improve their class performance.
With 18 years of elementary teaching experience, and 10 years of mothering, she has much to offer a new teacher in need of guidance with classroom management, teaching techniques, dealing with parents, administrative, and or union pressures.
"My first love is teaching and to help others learn. That is why I am offering this service to any "Teacher in Need" , be they in their first year, newly assigned to a different grade level, or just at their wits end!
As a new teacher, I often worried if I asked questions on how to better implement a teaching strategy or deal with a difficult student behavior, I would be seen as incompetent. On my journey, I always WISHED I could find someone who could guide me, share their experience, be my MENTOR! (Confidentially!!)
Ms. Houck's educational experiences range from nursery school, kindergarten, second grade, and presently fourth grade. She has many years experience with early interventions, children with autism, as well as having taught in inclusion classrooms. She penned a year long article for "Autism Digest" recounting her experiences of raising and trying to educate her child with autism.
Besides being a wife, mother of two, full time elementary school teacher, she is - the inventor of the Baby Slanket and Daddy-O Rodeo, as well as the President ~ CEO ~ of BabyGoodies.com.
